They can be used as sailboats, motorboats, fishing boats, row boats or as a paddling boats. These kayaks paddle or row faster and straighter because they are actually catamarans with kayak bows. They literally glide along on their two pontoons - the center floor is 4" above the water (so drag from the floor is completely eliminated). With ordinary kayaks you have to choose between a stable, wide craft and a speedy, tippy narrow craft. The two deep molded skegs under the inflatable pontoons make this kayak track straighter and go faster even in high winds and choppy conditions.
