First introduced in 1976, the Sea Eagle Explorer Kayaks have been used by numerous expeditions in China, Vietnam, Cuba, South America, Costa Rica, Africa, Europe, Russia and of course, America. They are what are called wet/dry kayaks. If you're in an ordinary "dry-only" kayak with no drains, you must either portage and drain your craft or get ready to sit in several inches of cold water. The Sea Eagle Explorer Inflatable Kayak is ready for wet or dry conditions with 4 extra-large, easily convertible drains. Drains OPEN, the craft bails itself in rough whitewater conditions. Drains CLOSED, they don't let a drop of water in so you and your cargo stay comfortably dry in calm water. And - worst case - even filled to the gunwales with water, the Explorer Kayak still floats.

Durable Enough for Raging Whitewater

The Sea Eagle inflatable expedition whitewater kayaks are rugged enough for class 4 white water. They are constructed of a tough "crocodile hide" 1,000 denier polyester-supported high-pressure fabric with quadruple-thickness electronic-welded seams. These hulls are so rugged that you can hit them with the sharp end of a claw hammer and not tear it or stab the hull with a screwdriver without puncturing it. The Sea Eagle reinforced hull material can take incredible pounding ... so you don't need to sweat bumping into the dock now and then or into rocks while raging down whitewater rapids.

Also the Sea eagle Explorer Inflatable Kayak Boats have 2 separate floors for double protection where you need it most, just like skid plates on off-road vehicles:

• The outside hull has a super-tough 1000 denier fabric floor.
• A separate inner inflatable floor lashed down on top of the outer floor.

With a beam of just over three feet wide, these explorer kayaks offer extreme stability. Two shock-absorbing inflatable seats (or optional high-back seats) are held rock-solid with nylon webbing that clips to 6 integrated D-rings. The Explorer Kayak comes complete and ready for action.

A Very Versatile Inflatable Kayak

The Explorer 340x (11' 1") is ideal for one or two people and some camping gear. In white water, the shorter length makes it ideal for one person and several days of camping gear. The longer length (12' 6") Explorer 380x is ideal for longer trips into the wilderness where more cargo space is an issue. Still easy for one person to handle, this model will easily hold 2 persons and several days of camping gear. Our largest Explorer Kayak (14') the SE 420x is capable of carrying 2 to 3 people and hundreds of pounds of gear! It is made for weeks of camping and/or river running. All 3 models are light weight and easily carried by one person. These kayak packages are perfect for kayak travel adventures.
